One too many fans?  Or are hydrangeas really THAT loathesome?

Hard to know what Madonna was thinking when she completely dissed a starstruck fan's gift of an impressive flower.  Maybe she didn't know she her mic was on when she revealed how much she hated it.  Of course, even without the audio, the poor guy would have figured out his gift was less than fully appreciated when he saw her immediately toss it under the table.  Ouchy!

How rude is that?

The ex-boyfriend whose behavior made singer Adele's life "a misery" may have just jumped to the top of the line of all-time rudesters.

Unable to ignore the international success of his former girlfriend, the cad now claims that he deserves a share of the income from her first album.  His reasoning?  Since her songs of heartbreak were undoubtedly inspired by his bad-boyfriend behavior, she owes him payment for his valuable contributions to her success.  Naturally, we think, "How rude is that?" -- but, at least this time we're confident Adele's getting her much-deserved last laugh.

Bonus: click here to read about Adele and 13 other artists who got their revenge on the ones that done them wrong with big hit singles.

Mistakes on a Plane: Duhamel

PDFPrintE-mail

by HRIT staff on December 05, 2010

There seems to be a pattern among celebrity rudesters: make the big time, then start making enemies.

The latest to hit his ill-mannered stride: Josh Duhamel, of Transformers and Fergie-hubby fame, who had to be forcibly removed from flight at La Guardia airport on December 3.

Apparently unconcerned for the time and priorities of a plane-full of other passengers, Duhamel kept texting even after the plane began its taxi to the runway.  After Duhamel scoffed at a flight attendant's third request for him to comply with the shut-down-your-cell regulation, the pilot turned the plane around so that Duhamel could be removed from the flight.

Ironically, Duhamel was texting to alert colleagues that his flight had been delayed.  It might even have been well-mannered (the very opposite of rude!), if Duhamel had only done it while he was cooling his heels in the lounge watching the Cavaliers-Heat game in the bar before the flight.

Great Googly Moogly ... That's Rude

Fan of Google Street View?  Feeling extra-super-fanatical about the service that lets you keep tabs on all the paint jobs your childhood home receives over the years?

Even if you really love the service, you might stop short of the behavior of some German mega-fans.  Apparently infuriated that some homeowners took advantage of Google's offer to opt out of the service, these "defenders" of Google's mission to photograph every home on the planet took matters into their own hands, egging the abodes that now show as blurry blobs on street view.

"Google's cool," reads the notes vandals left after pelting the houses.  Google IS cool.  Vandalizing people's homes, on the other hand, is definitely NOT COOL.

"We by no means consider this to be acceptable behavior," said a Google spokesperson.  We couldn't agree more!

Back in My Day, We Were Lucky to Have...Me

Joan-Jen-Angelina--PopEater

Apparently tired of having no legitimate reason for media attention for more than 20 years, Joan Collins decided the time was right to open her home -- and her big, rude mouth -- to British rag Hello!

Out of the spotlight for decades, the 77-year-old former star had a variety of delightful opinions to share with the world, including:

   *   Jennifer Aniston is not pretty, just cute.  The woman who nabbed Aniston's husband, on the other hand, is the only pretty woman in Hollywood these days.
   *   The lucky fans of Joan's day weren't starved glamour like we poor slobs of today are.  The fans of Joan's era were blessed with the stunning beauty of Lana Turner, Elizabeth Taylor, Ava Gardner, and ...of course, Joan herself.
   *   Like the lovely and sensitive Giselle, instead of being grateful for her genetic gifts, she credits her superior willpower for her preserved figure and bashes virtually everyone else in the world for their "greed." Inspiring!

Joan, we imagine that you may have been considered a dish half a century ago, but your inner beauty could use cosmetic surgery! Using insulting comments about others to pump yourself up and get undeserved publicity -- really, How Rude Is That?
